Build Institute is a Detroit non-profit organization who helps people turn their business ideas into reality by providing them with classes, tools, resources, and support networks to get their idea off the ground. Build Institute came to me to tell their story and help promote their Patronicity crowdfunding campaign for the construction of their new Corktown office at Michigan Avenue and Trumbull.

To tell the story of Build, I met with several wonderful people who recently opened small businesses in Detroit neighborhoods including Castalia, Detroit Vegan Soul, The Farmer's Hand, Folk Detroit, Kinnie Media Group, Mama Coo's Boutique, Ocelot Print Shop, Sfumato and Sisters Code. Each of these business owners has a deep passion for the city of Detroit and what Build Institute offered to them at their early stages of business.
