American Heart Association

These videos for the American Heart Association’s Southeast Michigan Affiliate tell the stories of heart and attack and stroke survivors and help promote fundraising events for the organization. The American Heart Association (AHA) is a non-profit organization in the U.S. that funds cardiovascular medical research and educates local communities on healthy living. The “Survivor Stories” each feature a local heart attack or stroke survivor and tell their family’s story of that experience. Each of them are now very involved in their communities, spreading the message about healthy living and educating about the warning signs of a heart attack or stroke.

The AHA also organizes many events in the Metro Detroit community each year including the Detroit Heart Ball, Detroit Heart Walk, Most Powerful Voices and Go Red For Women. I have worked on survivor stories shown at each of these events as well as highlights of the events to market toward potential donors and sponsors.
